Sigelei Fuchai 200w Review

1Sigelei is again back at it, surprising the vape world with another new device, the Fuchai 200 watts temperature control mod. It is not too different to stand out on a shelf with a bunch of other random vape devices, but still has its own perks. I will go into details about the Fuchai 200 watts and what makes it interesting to own, as well as my own personal opinion on the Fuchai 200 watts as a vape device in general.

User Experience

The Sigelei Fuchai is available in black, blue, and red, and personally I preferred blue as it was a light soft colour, and almost fuzzy to the touch blue. The mod itself has the same rubbery coating as the Sigelei 150 TC mod, and I rather like it as it feels better to grip it. It is a slip proof coating, and this gives it a nice touch to it. The Sigelei Fuchai is also the first 200 watts mod that Sigelei has come out with, however I do not think that it differs much from 150 watts, as users will rarely go to such high wattages. It is also Sigelei’s most powerful box mod up to date! As stated early, it is not too different from Sigelei’s other box mods, as it still has the popular rectangle shape, but it has a more curved edge, making it not the same as anything else in aspect. The buttons are not angled with the sides, but rather sit perpendicular to the sides so they protrude a little farther compared with previo3us models.

Of course like all other box mods, the Sigelei Fuchai has all the protection that a regulated mod is expected to have, including low atomizer and high to warn and prevent firing from outside its programmed resistance range. Another main feature that this Sigelei mod has is the reverse battery protection, just in case users happen to put their batteries on backwards.

One drawback that I would say this mod lacks is that there is no micro USB ports for charging and updates, as it is not in Sigelei’s style to do this. I do hope that they will integrate it at least for updates in the future.

I found that the settings for the Sigelei 150 TC was similar to the IPV settings, however with the Sigelei Fuchai, the settings are slightly different. With the Sigelei Fuchai, users have to press the two setting buttons and hold them until the screen changes to where they can choose between nickel, power, and titanium mode. From there, they can highlight the mode that they want and hit the fire button to select the mode.

The Sigelei Fuchai 200W TC box mod employs an effective and accurate temperature control system. When used with coils made of nickel or titanium, the Fuchai allows adjustments from 212°F to 572°F (100°C – 300°C). Nickel and titanium coils allow for truly authentic flavors to come through, and to assist in the production of enormous amounts of vapor using High VG blends of eliquid.

In temperature control mode, it allows the ramping up warmth of the vapor, and protecting users from dry burns and scorched coils and liquid by reducing the output to the coils when it senses that there is not enough eliquid to keep the coils and cotton saturated. It will still fire, but not enough power will reach the coils to cause a dry hit of scorching hot air. Sigelei’s TC system is every bit as effective as most others, though as I write this review the tech won’t work with Stainless Steel coils. Stainless Steel coils are becoming more popular with each passing day, so maybe we’ll see it soon.

4The Sigelei Fuchai 200W TC houses two external hi-amp (30a and above) 18650 batteries. Battery life seems to be very good, and I would say this mod could last users a full day with no issues (depending on wattage and build* ). Still, I sense no problems with battery life. Where you will see marked differences in battery life is when using high-end sub-ohm tanks and ultra low coils. I’ve pushed through as much as 65-85w with some of the tanks I own with a High VG blend, and that will definitely affect battery life AND the amount of eliquid used. Keep in mind that the dual batteries don’t really exist to extend battery life, but rather to reach that 200 watts of power.

Swapping out the batteries is very easy. Sigelei employs a magnetic battery door cover that can be effortlessly removed and replaced with the Fuchai 200W TC. At first, I thought that because of the ease of removing the battery door there might be an issue with the door standing firmly closed when out of its silicon sleeve, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. The door holds firm.

Overall

The Sigelei Fuchai 200W TC is a beautiful device. Holding it feels great, from the slanted angles to the rubberized finish, it is an impressive beast. The accents (grooves) on the display side of the device are artful and carefully placed.

The bottom of the mod has plenty of venting, adding some safety and some style, and the chromed stainless steel battery connector looks perfectly seated and its adjustable pin accommodates a flush fit for most of the sub-ohm tank I’ve attached to it.
