iPV 5 Review

pioneer3The iPV 5 is one of the most stylish unit made by Pioneer 4 You, and is also known as the most trusted and most reliable vaporizer manufacturers. The design of the iPV 5’s box is quite eye catching, printed with the words “YiHi SX Pure Tech” situated at the top of the box. In terms of any updated and new features of the iPV 5 when compared to the iPV 4, not to worry as these will be covered in depth later on in this review.

What’s in the box?

Let’s take a look on what you get inside the box:

  • 1 x iPV 5 mod3
  • 1 x USB upgrade cable
  • 1 x information booklet

Features

The new iPV 5 comes with the latest YIHI SX330-200 chip, which is arguably the most competitive and advanced chip out of all other Evolv DNA chips. The YIHI SX330-200 may be upgraded so any future updated or modified software may be easily incorporated into the IPV5. What this means for you is that in the event vaping turns into a whole new direction away from what we have right now, the iPV 5 has the power to adapt and evolve instantly.

As for the temperature control feature of the iPV5, it is quite impressive compared to other TC mods. This is because the iPV5 is ready and able to function the highest level with stainless steel coils as well as Ni200 and titanium coils. In TC mode, users can use atomizers with resistance as low as 0.15 ohms and up to 100 joles. For Titanium coils, users can go as low as 0.05 ohms and fire up to 120 joules!

Compared to the iPV 4 and iPV 4S, the iPV 5 also features up to 200 watts of power! Although 200 watts is becoming common in regulated mods, this is by far the highest wattage mod ever made by iPv.

For users who are interested, this is is the full specifications from the manual itself:

User Experience

Ever since I had gotten the iPV 3 Li, it has been my all day mod for almost one and a half year! iPV mods are firstly, crazily solid, and the YiHi chip is extremely reliable. Unlike other vape manufacturers, the YiHi chip is fairly accurate in detecting the ohms and does not spike. As soon as the iPV 5 were ready for pre-orders, I was over the roof with excitement! Despite not having any significant new or fancy features, the iPV 5 still looks slick and of course, 200 watts of power. What is interesting about the iPV 5 is the temperature control mode, whereby it has a new kind of TC mode which is suitable for all kinds of wire set by the TCR.

pioneer4you_ipv5_200w_tc_vw_box_mod_authentic_3_Advanced users will have many choices to play around with this mod. Another thing that I like about iPV mods is the OLED screen, which is very clear and bright. The design itself is also similar to all the previous versions of the iPV, however the iPV5 has smooth rounded edges, making it more sleek. With 200 watts of power, I could also play around with lower ohm builds, making coils with ohms as low as 0.10 and firing up to 180 watts!

One slight downside is that the USB port is not meant for charging, but rather for firmware upgrades and such. This however, should not be a problem as it is not recommended to charge dual battery mods with USB, as it would cause the battery life cycle to reduce.

Overall

All in all, the iPV 5, like all other iPV mods, never fails to satisfy. For users who are clumsy or prefer solid mods, the iPV 5 is definitely a good choice. With temperature control and 200 watts of power,it wo uld be perfect for an all day vaping mod.
