Quick Review Of Mistic’s HAUS E-Go Vaporizer

Taking advantage of their shelf space in Wal-Mart, e-cigarette maker Mistic has moved on to launch their new e-go vaporizer with a wider range of flavors.

Mistic now sells a HAUS branded vaporizer. The product incorporates 650mAh eGo style battery and a CE5 clearomizer. Starter Kits and replacement parts are offered. The kit included batteries come in black, while separately purchased batteries come in blue.

E-liquids

A new line of e-liquids with eight flavors is offered- all made in the USA. The flavors range from methanol to conventional tobacco. The e-liquids are in 10ml bottles in 24 mg/ml concentrations. Each of them cost $7.99 per bottle. The price might be a touch costly, but you can often find coupons for discounts online.

Starter Kit

HAUS ego kits are sold for $24.99. Each include a CE5 clearomizer, rechargeable battery, a lanyard and a charger. The pricing remains in line with Mistic affordable prices, but it’s also not a cutting edge device.

E-Go vaporizers have been around for a long time, and the HAUS is simply re-adopting regular batteries with the popular but fair performing CE5 tank. Egos are very basic and don’t offer much in terms of features other than using compatible tanks.

Advanced users, and heavy smokers will opt for variable power adjustable vaporizers, often referred as VV – variable voltage, VW – variable wattage, PVs – Personal Vaporizers. They offer a wide range of benefits, but just remember that more power does not equal a better device! Ego electronic cigarettes often provide the perfect balance between vapor and convenience.

Overall, it’s an ok entry level device for new users, or maybe those just looking to try something else without spending much, but let’s be honest, for a similar price, you can opt for a Volcano Inferno Ego of much higher quality, or many other Ego E-Cig starter kits available online.

Battery

The batteries are similar to most ego device lithium-ion ones sold all over. However, they are slightly wider than the standard eGo of 650mAh, thus making the battery shorter. It is a little taller than the CE5 tank so when the tank is inserted, both are around the same dimension.

The unit looks good overall, I like the fit, but it does not scream craftsmanship or quality by any means, just a basic, decent vaporizer reflective of its’ cost.

The battery, coated with rubber, black with the HAUS logo imprinted in subtle grey. The top connection piece is chromed and encloses the power/fire button. The button is covered in plastic and gleams blue from an interior led, and it feels ok, I didn’t mind the press too much, but it could be better.

Traditional to all similar products, there is a 5 click count to activate or turn off the device.

Clearomizer Tank

The clearomizer is a disposable model and it is a basic bottom coil CE5 design. Although it appears to have a removable head like any typical CE5, the head is actually structured in a way that it is attached to the bottom of the tank.

CE4s and CE5s are both very highly available tanks, and fit in the midrange performers. Long time users are usually not very fond of them, but once again, it can fit the bill for many as a temporary, or complimentary device. And once again, more power does not mean better vaping experience. Tanks can always be swapped for something else, but keep in mind that a battery can cost way less than $25 online, therefore in theory, you can build a better E-go for less money if you did a little shopping online, and patiently waited for the shipment.

The quality of the tank rests on having two gaskets installed into the head. This creates a strong seal between the bottom sector and the body, eliminating all possibilities of leaking— that is one virtue to put into consideration, as many previous CE or similar tanks have been reported to leak when knocked over. Some online reviews on the HAUS, unfortunately complained of leaks, which begs to question if quality control is lacking.

Conclusion

The HAUS is an up from basic Mistic Ecigs and provide a better choice of flavors. The downside, however, is that its vapor production is not top-notch and other competitors offering 2ml tanks supersede its performance to a considerable point. When we look at the flavor line, there’s nothing unique about it, and although I had little interest in really spending money on any of it, I highly doubt it will beat or even come close to matching my current favorite eliquid brands. It can still work for you, just make sure to know what you’re buying and not get buzzed up with fancy names. Having variable power options seem to be a must for heavy smokers looking for a better fix, but for medium to light users, Egos are great, so I’m not knocking it for being an Ego battery device, but simply because you can get better for the same cost or just a few dollars more.
