The Smok Xpro M80 + is one of the latest line-ups from SMOK. SMOK has been known for many reputable and quality devices, such as the SMOK GCT and VCT tanks. The M80+ is mainly for users who like high power, yet still has decent battery life. It can fire up to 80 watts, however it is recommended for vapers who prefer to vape at lower wattages. The M80 has been doing well in the vape market due to the many features it offers, including ease of use and crazy battery life. I will go through all features of the M80+ in detail below. Lets have a look!

Features
One of the main features of the M80 + is that it has a 4000 mAh built in LiPo batteries! Other than the Joyetech Evic VT, this is the only other mod with such a high capacity battery. Not to mention that it also fires up to 80 wattages! That’s 20 wattages more than the Evic VT! The recommended charge
time is 3 hours to reach full charge. Of course with built in batteries, it is only USB chargeable, making it extremely convenient! No more buying separate batteries and an external charger! The chip it uses has similar technology to other mods, including short circuit protection, discharge protection, and also has temperature control according to the manual.
Like the SMOK M65, the M80 + also features a mode called the mechanical mod, meaning it discharges according to the battery and built you have! Switching between wattage mode and mechanical mode gives users a chance to try out what a mechanical mod feels like. It also has a pass through capability, meaning that users can charge and vape it at the same time.
User Experience
The M80 + offers 3 choices of vaping modes, which is wattage mode, temperature mode, and mechanical mode. I tested the wattage mode first, and fired it on different builds ranging from 0.4 ohms at 50 watts, and
0.2 ohms at 80 watts. I felt that the M80 + is more suitable to be used at anything below 75 watts, because at 80 watts it felt shaky whereby the it sometimes stop firing due to high heat. A slight drawback, but a drawback none the less. Temperature mode allows users to set their desired temperature setting. Users can regulate the atomizer temperature between 200F up to 900 F in steps of 10F, using the increase or decrease button. Temperature control was designed mainly for the purpose of adjusting the temperature in order to get the best flavour, and different users have different temperature settings which suits them. Always remember to only use nickel or titanium coils in temperature controlled devices to avoid toxic fumes!
One feature that I really liked is the ability to switch to mechanical mode! It allows users to get the feeling of a pure mechanical device, which is quite different from a regulated device. I would not recommend users whom have no experience with mechanical devices to use this mode. Once you are in mechanical mode, all the traditional features such as short circuit protection or over discharge no longer functions, and this may be dangerous for inexperienced users as battery venting could occur.
Another special feature is that the M80 + provides an intelligent puff counter. The default will be 0 puffs, and each puff that the user takes will be counted. Users can also limit the number of puffs that they wish to take during a 24 hour day!
One of the first things that I noticed is the build quality of the M80 +. This box mod has been build to stand the test of time, and despite being heavier than some other models, it is able to stand up to the knocks and bumps of daily life without any problem. I especially like the smooth glossy look that it is painted in, whereby my gold unit looks flawless. The OLED screen is quite nicely sized, bright and filled with all the information users will need. Only complain that I have is that my firing button seems to have a clicking sound, however this may be just my unit.
For the overall performance of the M80 +, I feel that it is a wonderful unit, and is one of the only mods with a large battery capacity. It delivered immense flavour and vapour production at 70 watts on my SMOK GCT tank, without any noticeable problems.
Overall
Quite simply put, this device is worth every cent, and is especially convenient for users who like portability. This is because it only requires a USB cable to charge, and users can charge it anywhere from a portable charger to cars. The M80 + is currently doing well in the market due to the quality performance and stylish looks. Despite having dual built in batteries, it is in reality, not really huge at all, and fits just in the hold of my palm. The only major complaint that I have is that the temperature sensing is not ideal, as it still causes burnt hits to occur on an empty tank. All in all, this mod will be great for users looking to start vaping, all vapers who like to carry their mods around. Many new users do not like the hassle of having to buy separate batteries, charges, etc, thus this mod will be extremely ideal for both convenience, battery life, and power!
