1The SMOK XCube 2 is undeniably the top ten best vapes around in the market in terms of how advanced its technology and build quality is. This magnificent display done by SMOK has signified the brilliance in technological development the vaping world has accomplished in such a short period of time (considering vaping only started to hit the markets back in circa 2009).  The SMOK XCube 2 comes with a load of awesome yet useful features which include the newly in-built Bluetooth connectivity, 160 watts of output. Not to mention, all of this comes with extremely good value! I will be going through the entire compliation of what makes the SMOK XCube 2 one of the most valuable assets you could own when it comes to vaporizers.

One thing that I must remind people however, is that the SMOK XCube 2 is not really that suited for newbies. Now, I’m not trying to throw you off but if you aren’t too familiar with the idea coil building, sub ohming, or even some advanced temperature controlling, it might be quite a shocker for you and you may be be better off with a much simpler setup.

Price

The SMOK XCube 2 retails at only around $USD 60, which is really cheap for such a cool mod! Let me dive deeper and show you what makes the SMOK XCube 2 a really cool and good mod.

User Experience

This is one of my favorite looking mods that I have thus far. It is built solidly and of high quality with a great sense of style. With regards to firing up your mod, the firing bar still leaves me in awe and admiration as it is the only mod which does not uses a classic fire button. SMOK has managed to somehow effortlessly incorporate the heating mechanism within the four walls of the X Cube 2. The easy to customize LED light placed within the powering bar will illuminate with millions of colors in variation when you switch it on. Pretty cool if you ask me especially after a vape session, you’re chilling and there’s a free light show for you to see. The only downside I have with the powering system is the possibility of accidentally activating it. This is why I would always advice users to remember locking their device after use! Just 5 presses of the 4powering bar quickly back-to-back would lock it.

Most regulated mods already have an OLED display on either side of the mod however this is not the case for the X Cube 2. In fact, SMOK has distinguished the X Cube 2 by making it different through positioning the OLD screen and the two + and – buttons that are situated at the top of the X Cube 2 (literally sitting next the 510 spring load). This is pretty unique, and I really like it as I am able to see my screen while vaping it. The display of course, includes a ton of handy features which also includes a battery percentage level, atomizer resistance, puff counter, puff duration, and voltage, however this purely depends on the mode you’ve set it on.

An additional element of design I would flag is how the battery cover is magnetic. It is easy to replace batteries, just slide the cover off and assemble the cover back, and it will snap into place with the magnets.

The X Cube 2 is an advanced mod which distinguishes it from a child’s toy and I would have to warn users who don’t like big mods. It houses two 18650 batteries, yet is still slightly bigger compared to similar mods. It does not fit well into smaller pockets. What I find to be the best feature of the X Cube 2 is the advanced technology placed to control the temperature. You see, temperature control mods like the X Cube 2 monitors changes as to resistance based on the heating up of the coil which then leads to an automatic adjustment of the power output in accordance with ensuring the maximum temperature set shall never be exceeded. With an in-built memory feature, the X Cube 2 adds benefit in storing your preferences when it comes to configurations and having a good vaping session. In case users switch atomizers, one touch of a button would send you straight back to the settings you were at previously. The X Cube 2 operates between an optimum temperature of 200F to 600F, and users would be required to adjust the settings to reach the right coefficient based on the kind of wire that they are using in order to ensure that the controls for the temperature work efficiently.

One crucial point users should be aware of3 is that in order to adjust the coefficient for the temperature, it can only be adjust via an app designed by SMOK (you can get this on the App Store or Play Store). The app is downloadable on both android and iOs devices, switch on Bluetooth, and pair your devices together! Other awesome features that the app can do includes checking for significant precise real-time data for vaporizing such as the watts, volts, temp, puff duration. The one thing that I really like about the app most was the LED lightning settings. You are able to maximize your choice of up to millions of different colors as well as being able to set the rotation speed of the colors via the Jump and Shade sub menus. Fiddling with these lighting settings was surprisingly fun for me, and I enjoyed watching the different colors that I can play with! Definitely one of the most awesome functions seen on this mod.

I usually use the X Cube 2 at about 60 watts to 70 watts. There are users who prefer hotter vapes and may go higher, but the battery drain would be tremendous, not to mention the juice usage! 160 watts is more than plenty for most users, and is a wonderful mod to also cloud chase with. Of course, the X Cube 2 is accommodated with a decent selection of safety options, as mentioned under the features section.

Overall

As the X Cube 2 is currently selling for around $60 USD to $70 USD, it is really at a good value considering it’s a 160 watt mod with temperature control features on top of all the other cool features that it comes along with! The only downside that would be the size and the additional $2.99 (measly pennies for an awesome result though in my opinion) that users have to whip out in order to unlock the SMOK app to control temperature and other functions built-in the X Cube 2. However, the X Cube 2 is by far one of the top mods that is worth every penny. I would definitely recommend it to people, plenty of power to amaze most vapers, and also temperature control and the cool LED feature!
