Eleaf Lemo 2 Review

Rebuildable tank atomizers or RTA’s have become very popular and Eleaf has taken note of this. The Lemo Drop preceded the Lemo 2, a rebuildable tank that offers extraordinary airflow. It comes with a .5 Ohm wicked coil that is ready to be used and although whether or not it actually is a Sub Ohm tank is still up for debate, the Lemo 2 is an option that offers good value for money. That being said, it is not the right choice for users who prefer wattages of 30W and over, as well as dense Vegetable Glycerin liquids. The Lemo 2 may not deliver the best results with thicker liquids at higher wattages, but it may still be a good choice for other purposes.

Presentation and Design

When you get the Eleaf Lemo 2 kit, you receive one Lemo 2 mouthpiece, a top cap, a glass tube, an atomizer tube, an atomizer cover, a coil stand, an atomizer base, one pre-made heating coil, small screws, seals gasket, organic cotton and even a screwdriver. The Lemo 2 can hold up to 3.8ml and its rated resistance range is 0.3 ohms, while the resistance of the pre-made coil is 0.5. In terms of design, it is clear that Eleaf has succeeded at creating an elegant, solid, yet simple tank. While it is bulky, it is still stylish and although the drip tip is slightly wider than we would like, it is ideal for cloud chasing.

There is an airflow slot on each side of the Lemo 2 and if you usually opt for a mouth-to-lung vaping, this new setting will really impress you. However, those who are used to the airflow that a Subtank, RDA or other RTAs offer, may be disappointed. Compared to other tanks, the experience with the Eleaf Lemo 2 could be underwhelming for vapers who have tried devices with larger slots. The Eleaf 2 is mainly designed for single-coil use, but you could fit additional coils, with a bit of skill. When used with the standard .5 Ohm coil, Eleaf advised to allow some space between the wraps to facilitate wicking.

One thing to keep in mind is that like other rebuildable tanks, the Eleaf Lemo 2 may not the most convenient option for new users. If you haven’t built an atomizer of this kind before, you will find things a bit too complicated. Still, if you are willing to give it a go, all it takes is some trial and error to get used to it and after a while, you will be able to build it effortlessly. Although the deck is not exactly simple when it comes to building, it is not too bad and once you get familiar with it, things will be easier.

Flavor

The original Lemo became popular thanks to the enjoyable flavor that it offered and the Lemo 2 doesn’t disappoint in this regard. It offers amazing taste, as well as improving over the vapor production of its predecessor. Some users have reported some issues when it comes to wicking and as previously mentioned, it doesn’t offer good results with VG e-liquids at high wattages. It just seems like that the tank simply can’t handle thick VG-based juices when vaping at 30W or over. Still, if you use a suitable liquid that is not too dense and don’t go above 30W, you can get enjoyable flavor and a reliable, reasonably priced experience with the Eleaf Lemo 2.

The Lemo 2 provides amazing airflow and its vapor production is truly remarkable. You will get copious, large clouds, although this will depend on the build you are using. It works really well with the .5 Ohm coil and it supports Sub Ohming, which is widely popular in the vaping community at the moment. Although the unit comes already built, wicked and ready to be used, the initial taste is not exactly enjoyable. You may need to try a few times or maybe even rinse it before the flavor is as good as it can be with the Lemo 2. Although this can be an inconvenience, once you pass over that, the overall machining of the Lemo 2 is very good and the quality is high, particularly considering the price of the tank.

Conclusion

In spite of some flaws, this RTA is a very good choice and while it is not exactly a Sub Ohm tank (although it has a .5 Ohm coil), it can provide an enjoyable vaping experience at .5 Ohms and over, at a wattage under 30W. For those looking for an affordable RTA that delivers rich, delicious flavor, the Eleaf Lemo 2 is an option worth considering.
