A Vaping Mobile Phone! – The Vaporcade by Zeus

It’s been a long running joke that our smartphones can do almost anything these days, that, whatever you need to do, “there’s an app for that.” — now, a Los Angeles company has unveiled a system where you can smoke e-cigarettes on your mobile.

The idea of IP connectivity systems started with early additions to e-cigarette systems such as biometric features, and some Bluetooth systems that work a lot like the ‘infotainment’ systems in vehicles –e-cigarette models in 2014 featured the ability to do things like play MP3s and make or receive phone calls, or pass on information to a regular mobile.

Vaporcade “Zeus”

Zeus for Vaporcade belongs on the frontier of today’s smart consumer device market. Along with things like smart phone systems and wearable computers, this mobile phone vaping device is re-inventing how we see telecom.

“We have worked tirelessly to integrate texting, talking and vaping into one spectacular innovative technology.” reads the Vaporcade site. “The applications are limitless…we feel that Zeus will change the world as we know it.”

A disclaimer on the site shows that as of now, this new system is not available in U.S. markets until authorized by the Federal Communications Commission. Other regulatory groups like the FDA are also looking at e-cigarette systems and similar products to make sure they’re safe for markets. Not much information has been divulged by the makers yet, although an official launch press statement was posted on Yahoo, covering very limited technical details.

A Lifestyle Device

Reports on this modern product show that company leaders are envisioning a particular philosophy where these types of portable systems can connect users to the world beyond them. John Cameron, one of the top management professionals at Vaporcade, calls the device a “handheld lifestyle hub” with a “state-of-the-art operating system.” A press release of the product also quotes mobile pro David Becker talking about the ubiquity of applications for Zeus.

Becker posits that after people started to grasp the power of the cellular vaping system – “you will have a difficult time finding anyone without a need for this device.”

As for the actual nuts and bolts of the infrastructure, there’s not a lot of design spec out on Zeus, partly because of the market challenges mentioned above. Product reviews show the phone’s ability to take pictures, and reveal a tube that connects the top of the device to a delivery system. But it won’t be until the actual market arrival of Zeus that everyone’s able to finally get a test drive and understand how this product will work.

What’s evident is that, by finally building this innovative products, Vaporcade is helping to usher in a new era of digital appliances and devices. The production of the “Zeus” device has everything to do with the Internet of Things, where experts envision a future home with Internet-connected toasters, washing machines and hairdryers. It has to do with the idea that using modern circuit design, cloud services and other technological advancements, we can build more capability into our everyday possessions. That’s exciting for a lot of people in a lot of industries, but it’s particularly applicable to the e-cigarette industry where more modern designs can help people to avoid some of the health risks associated with “legacy” cigarette products. Look for more on this “e-vaping” as these types of products start hitting the streets, and consumers look into more modern and effective ways to enjoy vaping while moving toward cessation for dangerous tobacco products.
